Villaricos

Villaricos is a coastal parish of Cuevas del Almanzora, in the province of Almería, Andalusia, Spain. It is located in the east coast of Almería, 117 kilometres from the capital of the province – Almería – and 13 km from Cuevas del Almanzora.

Its population was 674 inhabitants – 382 men and 343 women – on 01st January 2014 (source: National Statistical Institute, INE). Its surface area is 63 km2 and it has a population density of 10.4 people per km2. Its geographical coordinates are 37º 18' North, 1º 52' West. It is located at an altitude of 88 masl.

It is essentially a tourist destination, especially during summer. It has two small marinas, Puerto de Villaricos and Puerto Deportivo de Villaricos La Esperanza.
