EDUCATION
The University of Almeria is relatively new, but it has grown and developed rapidly, occupying a prominent place in different specializations and research on the agriculture and renewable energy fields. Also, the university is in permanent collaboration with other Spanish and foreign universities because of the collaborations that the vice-chancellor´s office for the internationalization and development cooperation maintains with other universities. They also participate in different programs promoted by the European Union for research and collaborations.
The research that the university is carrying out is in relation of the environment and the province, focusing in the solar energy, agronomy and the management of water.
Also, with the objective in mind of transferring the research and its application, the University has a Research Results Information Office and the Central Research Services.
They are also promoting the enterprising and innovation, offering great possibilities for the starting up of new enterprises or technologically orientated companies.The province counts with very highly qualified professionals.In general terms, in the education sector, there are an extensive number of private and public education centres in the whole of the province.
